Return of the Sithist - the Source whispers
Mon Nov 18, 2019 10:28 pm
Well, it's been a very long time. So long that this post may languish forever, unread and unresponded to. However, it seems appropariate to leave it here for anyone who may pass by. Especially those who knew me, mainly in my previous incarnation as Lorelei or Loreleila. This forum was hacked some years ago, changed in appearance, but curiously they never had the courage to actually use it. But somehow perhaps that was apt. I don't know about anyone else, but life has occupied my time and I had to leave our endeavours to one side. But recently I have heard murmurs of the Source, calling me. So it came as no surprise when a person, who shall remain nameless, who sought to discredit and disempower me some years ago, came cap in hand asking to purchase this forum from me. I'm not sure why they thought I would be happy to hand it over after the damage they sought to do (perhaps they hadn't even realised whose it was, more on that later) but it was enough to have me spending some time to take the forum back from the hacker, which I have now succeeded in doing.
Unfortunately its been so long since I ran a forum, since they aren't most people's venue of choice any more, nor have been for some years, so I must apologise for the somewhat amateurish appearance and functionality. But at least it does work after a fashion, and no longer looks like a poorly conceived gaming site, as it did while the hacker had it.
But as a result of this contact I decided to do a bit of homework, and discovered that certain people, myself and one other notable Sithist, and other even older founder members, have been largely disappeared from our history. Perhaps that is apt. After all, one does not wish to be too visible, and it has always served certain groups to claim ownership and wisdom regarding our ways and the Source. But shouting and attempts to usurp do not denote wisdom or power. That can be quiet, or even silent. So I do not consider it a disadvantage.
So, if any old friends happen upon this please do reply. It would be good to hear from you, and to talk with you again after all this time. Or indeed anyone new who stumbles upon this and wishes to truly follow a path, to find their own path in the company of others, rather than to be lauded over, controlled or preached to. The Source is limitless, and we all occupy a unique place in that inifinite space. It was that ability to be unthreatened by difference, to appreciate there was much to be learned from others ways and perceptions, that we were all empowered and made greater by each other, which to me was the true mark of a Sithist.
